Journal sans date - Audio + Visual Live Performance

JOURNAL SANS DATE

Developed by musician and printmaker Guillaume Fresneau and visual artist and filmmaker Simon Guiochet, the project draws inspiration from Journal sans date, a passage from François-René de Chateaubriand's Voyage en Amérique. Written without precise references to place or date, the text recounts his journey through the American wilderness in 1791.

“In these wild regions, the soul delights in plunging into an ocean of forests, soaring above the abyss of waterfalls, and contemplating beside lakes and rivers.”

— François-René de Chateaubriand

Through sound, image, and narrative, Le Journal Sans Date explores notions of landscape, wandering, and contemplation, creating an immersive experience situated between concert, visual art, and travelogue.

The soundtrack is available on all major streaming platforms.

The project is also available as a physical edition, combining a printed booklet and CD, available on Bandcamp.
